Biography
Dr. Catherine Mello teaches in the Applied Psychology and Rehabilitation and Human Services programs at Penn State Berks. Her teaching interests include statistics, research methods, biological psychology, psychometric assessment, and disability. Her scholarly pursuits focus on the development and evaluation of assessment tools and intervention programs for children with autism spectrum disorder. Dr. Mello also participates on research on the integration of sensory and motor information, namely in spatial updating during locomotion and the interactions between movement (e.g., gesture, effort) and high-level cognition. Her applied interests include the use of virtual reality and related technologies in research, education, and clinical settings.
